Research in the field of grinding technology in regard to grinding with elastic tools systems and belt grinding
Experimental investigations regarding the interactions between grinding belt and contact roller during the grinding process
One Focus of the research is the development of a geometric kinematic process model to analyse the influence of the tool deformation during the grinding process on the resulting chip geometry and the prediction of the resulting workpiece topography
Independent planning, execution and evaluation of research work
In addition to operational work, the tasks also include the coordination of further research tasks, communication with project partners and the presentation of results at milestone and final meetings and at international conferences
Successfully completed scientific university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering science
Advanced knowledge of production engineering and materials science
Knowledge in regard to machining technology in particular grinding technology desirable
Good knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Matlab
Experience in the field of experiment design, in the operation of CNC machine tools as well as measuring and control technology desirable
Experience in the field of project management
Independent, systematic and structured way of working
Advanced skills in written and spoken English, German at least C1
