Working field:

Key respons­ib­il­it­ies:

  • invest­ig­ate the role of fin­an­cial inter­me­di­ation in the con­text of cli­mate policy,   
  • apply exist­ing the­ory and develop new mod­els,
  • ana­lyze the effect of fin­an­cial sec­tor policies and reg­u­la­tion,   
  • par­ti­cip­ate in pro­ject and stake­holder meet­ings and sci­ence-soci­ety dia­logue,
  • present at inter­na­tional con­fer­ences and pub­lish in aca­demic journ­als.

Requirements:

We are look­ing for can­did­ates with:

  • PhD or Mas­ter in eco­nom­ics or/and fin­ance or equi­val­ent,   
  • train­ing in formal, quant­it­at­ive meth­ods,
  • excel­lent ana­lyt­ical skills and expert­ise in the­or­et­ical and applied mod­el­ing (optim­iz­a­tion, equi­lib­rium or stochastic mod­el­ing),
  • exper­i­ence in pro­gram­ming and numer­ical solu­tion approaches,
  • a strong motiv­a­tion and team-ori­ented approach,
  • strong oral com­mu­nic­a­tion and writ­ing skills in Eng­lish,
  • exper­i­ence in peer-reviewed pub­lic­a­tion and know­ledge of Ger­man are advant­ages.
