The Center for Adaptive Rationality (ARC) directed by Ralph Hertwig at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development (Berlin) is seeking applicants for a position as
Student Research Assistant.

The anticipated start date is November 1st 2024 or later. The remuneration without a Bachelor's degree is 12,33 €/h, in the Master's degree 14,33€/h.
The Center for Adaptive Rationality is investigating various aspects of judgment and decision-making. We offer you the chance to participate in an international and interdisciplinary research team. We are looking for a student with experience in image and/or video analyses to implement various ML tools to automate the analyses of video footage from large scale human foraging experiments. See https://youtu.be/0G5nO6qlnoM for a video compilation of the experiments. From 1.57 onward recordings of the head-worn video cameras are shown which will be the main target of analyses. These analyses will be aimed at (automatically) detecting fish, other persons, and behavioral states (e.g., moving, fishing, drilling).
